What’s in dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers consist mainly of hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance in the body that binds 10,000 times its weight in water within the skin. At Fairgrove Skin Clinic, we only use premium dermal fillers which are proven to integrate effectively with your tissues to produce a natural and lasting result.

Are there different qualities of dermal fillers?

Absolutely! At Fairgrove Skin Clinic, we use the Teoxane RHA Range of fillers – a comprehensive, highly respected, and extremely safe range of fillers from the softest filler for fine lines and wrinkles to the more fulsome end of the range for recontouring. Quality of filler is not something that should be skimped on! We will discuss the right choice of filler from the range during your in-depth consultation.

Does cheek enhancement hurt?

Cheek enhancement is minimally invasive, and we ensure that discomfort is kept to a minimum by applying a topical numbing cream to the skin prior to treatment, and by using fillers that contain local anaesthetic.

How long does cheek enhancement take?

Our medical nurse prescriber takes her time with every client to ensure the fillers are carefully placed and gently massaged as they integrate with the existing tissue. In all, the procedure takes around 30-60 minutes.

When will I see results of cheek enhancement and how long will they last?

One of the great features of dermal fillers is that results are instantly visible. There might be some slight bruising at the injection sites, or perhaps a little swelling or redness, but this will fade within a few days. Results can last anywhere from 6-18 months, after which time the hyaluronic acid is absorbed naturally by the body.
